Full Root-level Access
What does the full root-level access feature imply? What benefits will it bestow you with? How to sign in to your server as root?
When you have root-level access to a server, this means that you will have full control of it. In other words, you can set up any server-side application irrespective of the changes that it will make to the software environment on the server, and you're able to both access and modify any file, which includes system files, and change any settings. This can be done by connecting to the server as a root user that has full privileges to do the aforementioned things and to make other users, including users that also have full privileges. This connection can be established through a web-based graphical interface or a Secure Shell console. For safety reasons, it is recommended that you create a different user for your everyday work and use the root user only when you have to modify the server or to set up software that may be required by some script-driven application that you want to run.
Full Root-level Access in Dedicated Servers
If you get one of the dedicated servers that we supply, you'll have full root-level access and you will be able to do anything that you are unable to do with a shared website hosting account - to update the server-side PHP settings, to set up frameworks or media streaming software, etc. You'll be able to order the server with no web hosting Control Panel and do everything from a console, unless you set up a third-party tool, or you can order it with cPanel or DirectAdmin and use a web-based graphical interface to manage your sites and many system settings. In all three cases, you will have full control of your server. The considerable amount of resources which you will receive makes our dedicated packages a fantastic choice for any type of content that you want to have. The servers which are ordered with the Hepsia Control Panel are simpler to maintain, but the root access to such a server will be restricted.
